The ceremony for the signing of the membership agreement between the CAEMC and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) took place on September 5th, 2017 in Brazzaville, the capital city of the Republic of the Congo. The agreement is about the Democratic republic of the Congo membership to  the Action Group against Money Laundering in Central Africa (GABAC).

The financing  of  PSCAC  amounting to 100 million US dollars (i.e. 60 billion CFA francs) will cover a period of  5 years (2017-2022). The funding agreement  was signed on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Brazzaville by the Manager in charge of the World bank operations for Congo, Ahmadou Moustapha Ndiaye and  the minister of finance and budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo, representing the government.

The construction work  of a government housing  in Brazzaville, near the Palais des Congres in the heart of Brazzaville is going to start soon.  The piece of news came  on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from H.E. Can Incesu, Ambassador of Turkey in Congo, after his meeting with  the Minister of Finance and Budget, honourable Calixte Nganongo.

On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, honourable Calixte Nganongo, the outgoing minister of the public portofolio, handed over to his colleague Gilbert Ondongo, the incoming minister of the public portfolio at the headquarters of the ministry of economy in Brazzaville.

On Thursday August 17,2017, the Minister of finance, budget and public portfolio, honourable Calixte Nganongo met with Mr. Lorenzo FIORILLO, the general manager of ENI Congo, an oil company. The purpose of the meeting was to have an exchange of views on the implementation of the project for the building of a third turbine for the Centrale Electrique du Congo(CEC).

On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, the Congolese government, represented by honourable Calixte Nganongo, Mi-nister of finance, budget and public portfolio and honourable Collinet Makosso, his counterpart in charge of primary, secondary education and literacy signed two memoranda of understanding with two private logging companies on the supply of 100,000 desks for Congolese pupils and the building of an interdepartmental modern senior high school at Vindoulou in Pointe Noire.

The 2017-2022 strategic plan was one of the items on the agenda of the ordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Development Bank of the Central African States (BDEAC), which took place on July 24, 2017 in Brazzaville(Congo) under the aegis of the Equatorial Guinean minister of finance and budget, honourable Miguel Engonga-Obiang Eyang. His counterparts of CEMAC, honourable Calixte Nganongo, minister of finance, budget and public portfolio of the host country and honourable Christian Georges Diguimbaye, minister of finance and budget and finance of Chad also attended the meeting.

On June 23, 2017 two funding agreements were signed in the conference room of the Ministry of Finance in Brazzaville between honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio and Mr. Djibrilla Issa, representative of the World Bank in the presence of honourable Ingrid Olga Ebouka-Babackas, Minister of Planning, Statistics and Integration, for the purpose of improving financial management in Congo.

On June22, 2017 he upper house of the parliament reviewed and unanimously adopted the framework law on the finance Act and the report nº 265 of the Economyand FinanceCommission, in the presence of the Minister of Finance, honourable Calixte Nganongo and honourable Digne Elvis Tsalissan Okombi, Ministerresponsible ofrelations with parliament.

The Committee met for its third time in a row on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in the conference room of the Ministry of Finance in Brazzaville, under the aegis of its chairman, honourable Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio. The Committee ruled on the following items on the agenda.
