Congo State Domestic Debt Clearance Mechanisms

The Committe in charge of the restructuring and clearance of the domestic debt, led by Bernard Ngazo, Adviser to the National Financial Institutions and Currency at the Ministry of Finance and Budget, held a press breifing, Thursday 14 November 2019 in Brazzaville. The participants discussed on securitization as a clearance mechanism of this debt proposed by the State.

Meeting between FAGACE and Banks in Brazzaville

Calixte Nganongo, Congolese Mnister of Finance and Budget,  opened Friday, November 8, 2019 in Brazzaville, the work of the meeting on exchange and share of experience between the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE) and the Banks of Congo, in the presence of his colleague Adeleaïde Mougany, Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Handicraft and Informal Sector. The dscussions focused on the theme: “Financing the Economy of Congo: What role for FAGACE?”

Findings of IMF First Review in Congo

Congo has made significant progress, but there is still a lot of additional progress that to be made”, Alex Segura-Ubiergo, Head of the IMF mission, said on the occasion of the return of findings of the first review of the Agreement signed with Congo, under the Extended Credit Faciclity (ECF) and consultations under Article 4. This mission stayed in Brazzaville from Thursday 24 October to Wednesday 6 November 2019.

Presentation of the Draft Finance Bill of the State for the 2020 Financial Year in the National Assembly

The Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, presented, Wednesday 30 October 2019, to the Members of Parliament, the draft finance bill of the State for the 2020 financial year, which amounted to 2175 billion 384 million in revenue, and to 1679 billion 423 million FCFA in expenditure, generating a positive fiscal balance of 495 billion 961 million FCFA.

Assessment of the First SYSPACE Modules in the Oil Sector
