On Monday 20 July 2020 in Brazzaville, the Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, having at his side his counterpart Delegate for the Budget, Ludovic Ngatsé, opened the work on the project of recasting the General Tax Code and drafting the Book of Tax Procedures. 

On Wednesday 8 July 2020, in the conference room of the Ministry of Finance and Budget in Brazzaville, the Ambassador of France to Congo, François Barateau; the Director of the French Development Agency (AFD), Lionel Cafferini, and the Congolese Government represented by the Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, signed two grant agreements for a total amount of 7.35 million euros (i.e. 4.8 billion CFA francs).

The Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, officially launched, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Duty (DGDDI) in Brazzaville, the activities of the platform "Tracking", called "Ekengué" or electronic monitoring and surveillance of goods in transit.

"I am officially launching the E-TAX application of the General Directorate of Taxes and Domains," said the Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in Brazzaville, during the official launch ceremony of the new platform E-TAX (Tax Management System) which will replace the former SYSTAF (System for Automated Tax Processing).

On Friday, June 26, 2020, the Minister Delegate continued his tour in the services of the tax administration of the economic capital, among others, the Large Enterprises Unit; the Petroleum Tax Unit (UFP); the Office of the Advance Payment on Various Taxes (BASDI) . 

With a view to improving the performance and efficiency of the Congolese tax administration, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance and Budget, in charge of the Budget, Ludovic Ngatsé, has issued important directives to the managers and agents of the Departmental Directorate of Taxes and State Property of Kouilou (DDIDK). Minister Ludovic Ngatsé thus set the tone for the next six months to achieve the expected results. This was during the working mission he carried out from Thursday 25 to Friday 26 June 2020 in Pointe-Noire. 

Estimated at CFAF 182 billion with the contribution of the London Club which joined the initiative, this debt will now be reinvested in the Congolese economy, social and hospital modernization. Modernizing the Congolese Tax Administration to bring it up to international standards is an important step in the reforms made and those under way in the Ministry of Finance and Budget. It is within this framework that the Directorate of Information Systems (DSI) and the Directorate General of Taxes and Domains (DGID) organized from 22 to 23 June 2020 in Pointe-Noire, a workshop to raise awareness among taxpayers and tax administration staff on the future Tax Management System called E-TAX. This is a prelude to the official launch of this application in the coming days.

Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June 2020, Ludovic Ngatsé, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget to the Minister of Finance and BudgetCalixte Nganongo, made his first raid on the Divisional Inspections of Direct and Indirect Contributions and Revenues from State Property Registration and Stamp (EDT) under the Departmental Directorate of Taxes and State Property of Brazzaville.
